For routine blood tests the results are now back at the surgery within 24hrs (often on the same day). Most other results of investigations should be back within one to two weeks of the test being performed.
If we have an up-to-date mobile phone number you will receive a text message when your results are available. The message will inform you whether the results are normal or if you need to contact the surgery for further instruction.
Please avoid phoning but if you need to telephone please do so after 1.00pm for results, as this allows for the mail to be sorted and seen by the doctors, and avoids jamming the system for emergency calls. Results can also be viewed online using EMIS Patient Access if you have an account set up.
