Covid19 (Corona Virus) Update Posted on 22 Sep 2020

Dear Patients,

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this troubling and unprecedented time.

In order to protect both public and staff at the surgery, and to ensure we can keeping running, the surgery is still implementing a strict closed door policy. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU ARE ASKED TO DO SO.

We will continue to be staffed and manning the phones. We will continue to deal with urgent issues via telephone or video consultations. Nursing appointments will be limited to pre booked, covid-screened, services.

Local ‘Hot Hubs’ are set up to attend to patients with coronavirus symptoms who are unable to self-manage their worsening symptoms in home isolation and for patients with coronavirus symptoms who require urgent medical attention for other (e.g. pre-existing) conditions.

We would ask patients where possible to request repeat medication via the online access service or drop their written request through the letter box. During this time we will be accepting email requests and have added a dedicated link from our website to send a secure request. For housebound / isolating or shielding patients with no other options we will accept requests by phone. We will be sending prescriptions electronically only, so please make sure to have nominated a pharmacy if not already done so.

We would urge patients to use the surgery’s or website to get information about self-care. We continue to urge patients to use the for coronavirus related and for other, urgent, out of hours issues.
